NTAC Peering & Routing SIG call notes 10/17/23

  1. Agenda Bash
  1. No agenda bashing was noted.
Update on Peering & I2PX
  1. Jeff B. out at NANOG – No update.
Network Weather Update – Trends and Coming Events
  1. No weather noted on the horizon.
Internet2 Network Updates
  1. Trouble tickets with Cisco regarding router in Ashburn.. No update.  Randomly misses some ARPs on some pseudowires.
Any Other Business?
  1. Matt Alder/FRGP – Does anyone have a good way to share netflow streams with researchers?  Has anyone found a way to anonymize data?

                                                               i.      Some work with NetSage.  Some see the need for more granularity.

ii.      GPN – NetSage – was there an Add-on – Stardust perhaps..

iii.      There are likely still security concerns – likely still “crack-able” – hard to anonymize data and still be useful.

  1. Franks Seesink: reminder that end of this month is switchover to Insight Console from OESS.  Good time to clean out garbage from OESS – consider if you have any old unused circuits floating around in OESS.
