Hello Everyone,

I know the Internet2 Technology Exchange is in the fall, and that they are looking for security content. I thought this might be a good place to forward the call for proposals (included below) if anyone wanted a chance to show the community what they have been up to on the security front. I realize that the close date for this is end of day Friday, but if you are interested I’m sure we could work out an extension for you.

Just a thought.

Thanks,

Ryan Martin

Time is running out - CALL FOR PROPOSALS due Friday, 4/27!

The 2018 Technology Exchange
(Oct. 15-18 in Orlando, Florida) will convene three major technical communities under one roof to share best practices, accelerate innovation and advance technology. Proposal submissions are solicited in three areas of interest
these will be reviewed and selected by a Program Committee
comprised of distinguished representatives from the R&E community. Based on community recommendations, several new presentation formats are available, including facilitated discussions and direct debates; these new formats are described here
We’re counting on your innovative contributions to make the 2018 Internet2 Technology Exchange
an invaluable technical program.

Submit your talk ideas
by Friday, April 27 in the following categories:

Advanced Networking
Information Security
Trust & Identity

Schedule Note:
In 2018, the schedule shifts from previous years: the pre-event day (i.e., tutorials, REFEDS and co-located workshops) is on Monday, October 15.
Registrants planning to attend the Trust & Identity “ACAMP” sessions – which extend into midday on Friday, October 19
should plan their travel to allow for this extended programming.

Call for Tutorials Open
To capitalize on valuable community expertise, submissions for half- and full-day tutorials
will be considered by the Program Committee through April 27.

In addition to looking for offerings in the topic areas listed above, the Program Committee will consider hands-on instruction in any relevant technical area.

All tutorials are offered on Monday, October 15.
Special thanks to local hosts University of Central Florida
and Florida LambdaRail

Why Propose?
By sharing experiences and expertise with peers, Internet2 community members create an innovative and informative program each year. Presenting a content-rich talk is a wonderful way to impart knowledge, experiences, ideas, and information.

Submit a proposal
now with your best practices, stories on successful collaborations, or solutions to community-wide issues; propose a tutorial
to lead a hands-on instruction session for your peers.
