  • The always-on solution seems to require that we use one of Akamai’s ISPs. I understand why, but it’s too bad. I suspect that’s not a useful offering for many of the RONs.
  • The on-demand solution, with the GRE using I2, sounds great *if* the customer (we) could engage its scrubbing resources via BGP, perhaps even BGP and Flowspec. But waiting for a joint determination is not very good.

Unless they offer a different scrubbing solution, not sure they’d meet our needs (please comment).

The web-based solutions are much more straightforward.
