This error seems to occur only when the CLIENT is a linux box.
I performed the same test from windows and didn't get that error.

Upgrading to ndt-3.5.10 didn't change anything:

TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v3.5.10
click START to begin

** Starting test 1 of 1 **
Connecting to 'rispacs-perf.charite.de'
[rispacs-perf.charite.de/10.48.4.4] to run test
Connected to: rispacs-perf.charite.de -- Using IPv4 address
Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done
checking for firewalls . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done
running 10s outbound test (client-to-server [C2S]) . . . . . 913.08Mb/s
running 10s inbound test (server-to-client [S2C]) . . . . . . 906.62Mb/s
S2C throughput test: Received wrong type of the message
ERROR MSG: Server (S2C throughput test): Invalid S2C throughput received
S2C throughput test FAILED!
Your Workstation is connected to a Cable/DSL modem
Information: Other network traffic is congesting the link

click START to re-test
