Hi Chris;

I have a couple of questions about the NDT server's behavior:
Why are the two options that come up when you push the "Options" button grayed out?
These are for future expansion. We had a Google Summer of Code student working on the system last year, He added in the Simple Firewall test, revamped the applet code and did a lot of code cleanup work. One of the future tasks is allowing the user to select which tests to run/ignore. The Options button will support this function.
The statistics reported when a wireless connection is tested appear to be wildly off. Why is this?
Can you give me some more details? I typically find the throughput tests quite accurate, both 802.11 B (11 Mbps) and .11 A/G (54 Mbps). My testing shows that with an "excellent" signal strength I get ~5.5 Mbps and ~25 mbps respectively. These are the expected numbers, due to the wireless access protocol overhead. I also see that if the signal gets weak then throughput drops off as the access protocol is doing more work.

Rich
Thanks in advance,
Chris Siegel
