On this 10.4.7 running Java 1.5_0_06 both URL's below work fine - both in firefox 1.5.06 and safari.  Perhaps even though you've installed the newer java update, you're still using old 1.4?

        Opera does the same as firefox (fails on
http://lab236.internet2.edu:7123 and works on http://web100.internet2.edu:7123/)
but safari fails on both and I haven't yet figured out how to get a Java
console on it. All it is saying is this in the activity window which isn't
illuminating:

Internet2 NDT server    1 of 2 items (1 error).

        I expect I'll have to find a Mac/Java person tomorrow to figure out
how I get at the Java console.
