I've set my settings to these as well and it hasn't gotten any better.
A 1.5M/384k DSL connection still takes 40 seconds to complete (10s up,
30s down). A modem connection (50k) on the same pc takes minutes.
Also, the report for the modem shows 300Kb upload and 280kb download
(both not possible on analog dialup). The phone line is moved from the
DSL modem to the analog modem for the test, so it's not possible that
it's routing out the DSL link instead.
