Hi Dale;
I found a bug in the 3.1.4 (and earlier) code. I sent out a patch to this list last week, and a few minutes ago I created a new release that includes this patch. You should download and install the 3.1.4b tarball from the e2epi web site.
There is also an issue with the Linux 2.6.13 kernel so I'm recommending the 2.6.12 series kernel for now. If you are running the 2.6.13 kernel then download and build the 2.6.12 kernel.
Lastly, I updated the INSTALL file to contain some server tuning tips. You can copy section 9. d into your /etc/sysctl.conf file and then run /sbin/sysctl -p to get the changes installed.

Hello list,
I'm running ndt 3.1.4 and it seems that at times the server takes more than a minute or two to print the results. Is this normal? From a client on the same switch, it almost always completes in 20s.
I've read that tuning the Linux TCP stack parameters can help this (and make ndt more accurate), but I just can't seem to find a list of what parameters need tuned and to what values.
Thanks for any pointers,
Dale
