The perfSONAR-PS developer team would like to announce the availability of:

Performance Node LiveCD

pS-NPToolkit 2.0

This software release is based on a Knoppix Live CD and contains a suite of network performance tools and perfSONAR services.  After performing several simple configuration steps, the target machine becomes a fully functioning perfSONAR powered measurement node that can join the perfSONAR framework of services that are globally discoverable via scalable information services.

The ISO image is available for download from:

Interested parties are encouraged to join the announcement mailing list for information regarding future releases.

P.S. I have sent this announcement to several of the Internet2 supported 'diagnostic/measurement tool' development lists since this LiveCD makes it possible to deploy bwctl/owamp/ndt/npad very easily and it might be of interest to those groups. In the future, we will not do such a wide announcement instead relying on the new lists shown above. --jeff
