Taking a Fresh Look at IAM at Your Institution: Two Case Studies
Do you have legacy identity management systems that are long in the tooth? Do some of your bolt-on solutions no longer play well with others? Or perhaps you are looking to introduce consistency, move some things to the cloud, or look for better ways to support research and scholarship.
We will hear from Michael Corn, chief information security officer at the University of California San Diego, and Sharon Pitt, associate vice president and CIO at Binghamton University. Michael and Sharon are co-chairs of the Higher Education Information Security Council. They will discuss their approaches to replacing cobbled-together systems to accomplish institutional goals for identity and access management. What are the drivers for change? What is the deployment strategy? What are the essential elements of a viable IAM solution?
