Everyone, A quick reminder that the consultation period for “Trusted Relationships for Access Management: The InCommon Model” and “Introduction to Identity Federations" ends next Monday, 4/10/2017. For access to the documents and to provide feedback, please see https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/M4OTBg. David Walker -------- Forwarded Message --------
Dear Colleagues, Today we open a consultation period for
two white papers intended for key stakeholders interested in
understanding organizational, policy, and legal aspects of
federation.
•
“Trusted Relationships for
Access Management: The InCommon Model” describes the InCommon
Federation trust model and provides a high-level introduction
to the role of the federation operator and participants in
establishing the trust framework. • “Introduction to Identity Federations,” discusses how identity federations work to support access management to services and information resources that are distributed across many organizations. These two papers are open for public
comment until April 10, 2017. We are very keen to read your
suggestions and understand how you might use them to help
educate your stakeholders. If you don’t believe you would use
them, we’d like to understand that as well. We would be particularly interested in hearing reactions from members of the target audience; that is, executives, managers, and others interested in understanding the purpose of federation, but don’t need to know how the technology works.
