IAM Online - K-14 and Federation - Report from the Pilots
Wednesday, March 9, 2016 2 pm ET | 1 pm CT | Noon MT | 11 am PT
Since February 2013, a number of working groups and pilots have operated to explore the possibility of extending the benefits of federated identity management to K-12 communities and community colleges. This IAM Online will focus on the outcomes from five of the pilots conducted across multiple states and regions, that explored models, policies, and processes. We'll also look at the upcoming extension of the pilot conducted by North Caronlina's MCNC, as a way to bring K-14 into InCommon and federated identity management.
Sponsored by InCommon and the Quilt (an association of regional networks), the pilots have published a white paper on their experiences and lessons learned, which will guide the discussion for this IAM Online.
