Internet2, in collaboration with the Department of Energy’s Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), will convene the 2014 Technology Exchange to bring together a wide range of technical visionaries to address the challenges facing the research and education community as it supports data-intensive research. The Technology Exchange, a new annual conference, will be hosted this year by Indiana University.

Each day will feature a full-group plenary session, select topic-specific formal talks, and a wide range of informal working discussions, collaborations and colocated meetings. The separate track areas will also incorporate both focused topics and crossover sessions to encourage expanded audience collaborations and discussions.

Proposal submissions will be solicited in April for track and side sessions in Trust, Federated Identity, Cloud Services, Network Security, System Security, and Advanced Networking (which will be named the Joint Techs track). The event will also provide professional development opportunities—including workshops, tutorials, and community gatherings.

A final agenda will be announced in June. This new annual conference will offer a forum for debate and conversations critical to ensuring that global research and education technology leaders are aligned and moving forward together. For now, please reserve the week of October 26 for an exciting technical program!
