The Internet2 Middleware Initiative is pleased to announce the release of Grouper version 1.3.0. The Grouper Groups Management Toolkit is designed to function as the core element of a common infrastructure for managing group information across integrated applications and repositories. It enables project managers, departments, institutions, and end-users to create and manage institutional and personal groups.
This is a significant new release that includes a new and experimental web services interface, an improved user interface, and improved overall performance.
For more information on Grouper, including downloads, documentation, and detailed list of improvements, enhancements, and fixes, refer to http://grouper.internet2.edu/.
Development of the Grouper Groups Management Toolkit was supported with funding from University of Chicago and the University of Bristol with additional support from Internet2 through the NSF SDCI Middleware Initiative (NSF Award No. OCI-0721896) and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).
Led by the Middleware Architecture Committee for Education (MACE), the Internet2 Middleware Initiative comprises a number of projects that address challenges in the middleware space, such as identity and access management. For more information, visit http://www.internet2.edu/middleware/.
