ADVANCED CAMP: LEVERAGING CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT VIRTUAL
ORGANIZATIONS WORKSHOP (June 29-July 1)
* OVERVIEW-- As the need for inter-institutional collaboration
environments grow, virtual organizations are expected to become a
critical IT support issue for teaching, learning and research
activities in the coming years.

Explore how existing environments, architectures, tools, and
services
can be adapted to leverage local infrastructures for managing and
granting access to resources in a VO. You'll have the opportunity to
work with colleagues to develop a set of common characteristics,
requirements, and services based on workshop case studies and
discussions.

* AUDIENCE--Researchers, faculty, graduate students, and IT staff who
participate in or support VO environments, and central campus IT
strategists, technology architects, and related leadership who are
knowledgeable about identity management.

management and on-the-ground case studies of campus implementations,
with a two-pronged focus on strategy/leadership and implementation/
technology. You'll come away with deeper understanding of current
practices for integrating identity management infrastructure
with data sources and serviced applications. You'll also hear
specific ideas for solving problems on your own campus.

* AUDIENCE--IT strategists, technology and project managers, and
related leadership, as well as technical implementers, from
institutions planning and deploying identity and access management.
