Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Internet2 staff and the Member Meeting Program Committee, I am pleased to announce that the Call for Participation for the Fall 2005 Internet2 Member Meeting, scheduled for September 19 - 22 in Philadelphia, PA  is now available for your response at:http://events.internet2.edu/2005/fall-mm/calls.cfm.

Starting with this meeting, we are initiating a comprehensive participation Call for all scheduled activities at the Member Meeting.  This includes the:

         - Call For Track Session Proposals
         - Call for Demos
         - Call for Side Meetings
         - Call for Museum Event (for Fall 2005 only)
         - Call for Posters
         - Call for Sponsors

Our hope is that this general "Call" location with one deadline for all events will make it easier for submitting track, demo and poster proposals and for providing information for the side meetings and sponsorship.  Details for each of the calls as well as the individual submission forms are all linked from the Call for Participation.

We have high expectations for an outstanding meeting in Philadelphia, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania and MAGPI.  Again this year, the program will focus on the many and varied innovative uses of advanced networks as well as the constantly evolving network infrastructures that enable them. We plan to have sessions examining new networking technologies, exciting Internet2 applications, how campuses are managing the development and deployment of new Internet2 technologies, and new opportunities for companies and other organizations to work with the university and K-12 communities.  Another well-established benefit of member meetings is the opportunity to discuss important topics, share information and status and to do work in "side meeting" activities; e.g. Working Group, Birds of a Feather, Special Interest Group and other miscellaneous informal and formal meetings.  Information about both of these and the other important member meeting activities can be found on the Call for Participation:http://events.internet2.edu/2005/fall-mm/calls.cfm.

Member Meetings afford the Internet2 community excellent opportunities to share innovations and ideas.  Please consider participating in the  Fall 2005 Member Meeting by submitting a track session proposal, a demo, a poster or by facilitating a side meeting.
