The Internet2 MACE-Signet Working Group has released its Early Adopter Call for Participation, available now on the Signet page http://middleware.internet2.edu/signet/.
Internet2 is seeking R&E institutions, and in particular Virtual Organizations (VOs), to assist in shaping the direction and priorities, and deploying and evaluating early versions of the Signet Privilege Management System, developed by the Signet Working Group (WG). This work is based on the Stanford Authority System, which is a mature and extensively tested system that has been broadly deployed in production use at Stanford for several years. The Signet Working Group is focused on using this system as the foundation for an extensible, robust, and flexible privilege management system that can be used within other environments and infrastructures.
Participation in this program may take a variety of forms, depending upon the interests and qualifications of responders. See the website for further detail on possible forms of participation. Responses are due no later than Friday 10-September 2004.
