Middleware Announcements

The NMI (NSF Middleware Initiative) Integration Testbed is nearing 
completion of a 2-1/2 year program of evaluating and integrating NMI 
middleware components within campus research and academic settings. Testbed 
sites will present their collective work in the coming months, highlighting 
the technology and planning considerations, decision points, and 
integration activities that have enabled successful use of NMI middleware. 
Others who are planning or in the midst of middleware deployment will 
benefit from the perspectives and knowledge that the Testbed sites have gained.

Two opportunities to pick up the same great results-oriented information 
will be offered at major academic community events this fall:

1) NMI Testbed "Finale" Results workshop at the Internet2 Members' meeting -

To be held Thursday afternoon, September 30 (immediately following the 
close of the I2 event) & Friday morning, October 1, 2004. This includes an 
evening reception and tour at the Texas Advanced Computing Center, UT 
Austin on Thursday evening (transportation provided.) There is no charge to 
attend the workshop but registration is required and seats are limited. To

2) "Perspectives from Campus and Research Middleware Integration," a
