IS YOUR INSTITUTION DEPLOYING ENTERPRISE MIDDLEWARE?

If your college or university is involved in an enterprise middleware
deployment, turn to Campus Architecture Middleware Planning (CAMP)
workshops for valuable learning and discussion of key elements of the
process. Two upcoming CAMP meetings in Boulder, Colorado, focus on
authentication and advanced middleware issues. Find out more below.

Please note: Because CAMP meetings are kept small to maximize program
value, we ask that only two individuals per institution attend each
CAMP workshop.

CAMP - June 3-6, 2003, Boulder, Colorado
This workshop offers system architects and project managers involved in
enterprise middleware deployment an opportunity for learning and
guidance on management and policy and implementation and technology,
with a special focus on enterprise authentication. Come to this meeting
to learn about
- key authentication issues such as WebISO technologies and PKI
- common higher education policy and technology practices to help you
avoid "reinventing the wheel"
- developments in higher education middleware research

Institutions are encouraged to send the two individuals who most
closely match the system architect and project manager roles. Learn
more about CAMP and register at:

ADVANCED CAMP - July 8-11, 2003, Boulder, Colorado
If you are a system architect from a campus with a maturing middleware
infrastructure and have experience in identity management, enterprise
directories, and authentication, save the date for Advanced CAMP, a
meeting offering a highly focused, highly technical forum for learning
and discussion on research in middleware technologies with an emphasis
on authorization approaches. Details for this event will be announced
soon.

CAMP SPONSORS
Base CAMP is sponsored by the National Science Foundation Middleware
Initiative-Enterprise and Desktop Integration Technologies (NMI-EDIT)
Consortium: EDUCAUSE, Internet2, and SURA.
