Greetings,

This is Teni Agbesanwa with the MS-CC. We are looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta next week for the MS-CC Annual Meeting!

As you are getting prepared to join us at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, located at 210 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, here are a few reminders.

MS-CC Welcome Reception, May 10

Please join us for a welcome reception Wednesday evening starting at 5 p.m. ET in Savannah A/B/C located on the 10th floor of the hotel. We will begin check-in for the welcome reception at 4 p.m. ET.

It's a great opportunity to meet and converse with members of your MS-CC Leadership Board; faculty, senior administrators, students, and leaders from HBCUs and TCUs; and colleagues from national and regional providers of cyberinfrastructure resources for campuses.

Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Thank you to Cirrus Identity for supporting this reception.

MS-CC Annual Meeting, May 11

We have a full day of sessions and networking opportunities planned for Thursday, and we invite you to take a few minutes to review the program agenda ahead of your travels.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Dietra Y. Trent, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity Through HBCUs, as our opening keynote speaker.

We’ll share the latest updates from the MS-CC Membership and Nominating Committee, MS-CC Program and Priorities Committee, and MS-CC Proof-of-Concept Grant Program. You’ll have an opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from national and regional providers of cyberinfrastructure resources for campuses during our lightning talk session and meet students from HBCUs and TCUs as we recognize their participation in our first student hackathon.

After lunch, you will join attendees of the Internet2 Community Exchange in the Peachtree Ballroom as leaders from our community take center stage to celebrate the lasting impacts of HBCUs and TCUs as we envision new possibilities for our collective future.

You’ll also hear from academic and administrative leadership at Jackson State University, Salish Kootenai College, and Claflin University how their approach to working collaboratively is driving cyberinfrastructure engagement, strategic planning, and governance at their respective institutions.

And we’ll end the day with a keynote presentation from Kevin Thompson, Program Director for the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure with the National Science Foundation, and closing remarks by Dr. Urban Wiggins, Chair of the MS-CC Leadership Board.
