CI Compass is excited to announce a special installment in our webinar series: The
2024 CI Compass Fellowship Program Summer Symposium. This webinar will be held
Wednesday, August 7 from 12 - 3:00 p.m. EDT / 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PDT. Registration is free, and required. Details for registration are below.
The CI Compass Fellowship Program (CICF) is a distinctive
program aimed to broaden undergraduate student participation in cyberinfrastructure (CI) research, development, and operations. During the summer of 2024, eleven CICF Student Fellows took part in the CICF Summer Program where they worked on data lifecycle
and cyberinfrastructure projects with three U.S. NSF Major Facilities: the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), NSF National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (MagLab), and NSF Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI), as well as the University of
Notre Dame Environmental Research Center (UNDERC), and Globus Labs at the University of Chicago.
For this virtual symposium, the CICF Student Fellows will present their summer research projects, including a description of the purpose of their project, technical details of their project, and what they learned from their project. We will have an additional
CICF Student Fellow join us to speak about his work over the summer at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
