I wrote "Virtualization" engineer, the job description below is about a "Visualization" engineer. Sorry about that. Very different.

(Thanks for the catch Jerry.)

Subject: [RESEARCHCOMP] Visualization Engineer position at Colorado School of Mines

Hi All,

Colorado School of Mines has new position available.  If anyone knows of qualified candidates, please pass this along.

Visualization Engineer @ Colorado School of Mines

https://jobs.mines.edu/cw/en-us/job/494065/visualization-engineer

The Visualization Engineer will lead the integration of visualization infrastructure for the University Cyberinfrastructure and Advanced Research Computing (CIARC) team, rounding out its cohesive, efficient, successful research support unit. The Visualization Engineer will be the lead resource for visualization support, while helping to guide the team’s expansion into emergent and non-traditional deployments of other research support resources. Such directions will include development efforts around architecture of visualization infrastructure, software management, big data analytics, HPC/visualization integrations, and maintaining a keen eye on the horizon. Finally, through external collaborations with government agencies, like-minded universities and internal liaisons with faculty and researchers, the Visualization Engineer will strengthen communication, expose latent opportunities for collaboration, encourage multidisciplinary ventures among researchers and generally help diversify research at Mines.

Matt
