Hi all,
Due to various conflicts we have not had a meeting of the Metaverse Working Group in a while. In order facilitate participation, we’d like to get the next several meetings on people’s calendars. With the exception on January we are planning on
the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm ET.
We are working on inviting speakers to each session to anchor the meetings, while leaving the rest of the sessions for conversation to further our goals. If you have any requests for speakers or topics, please let me know.
Finally I’d like to announce that Gurcharan Khanna, Executive Director of the Center for Computation & Visualization at Brown University, has agreed to serve as the vice chair of the group. Chris Collins of the University of Cincinnati Center
for Simulations & Virtual Environments Research has agreed to continue her role as chair for the group in 2017. Thanks to both Chris and Gurcharan!
I’m looking forward to continuing our work in 2017.
