Metaverse Working Group

Hi all,

As a reminder, our monthly Metaverse Working Group meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM EDT / 12:00 PM PDT, and for the first time, we're going to try to meet in an immersive VR environment using the AltSpaceVR platform.   http://altvr.com/   Participants can join the AltSpaceVR meeting either through VR or desktop (Mac or PC), and the following VR devices are supported:  

- Samsung Gear VR
- Oculus DK2 
- HTC Vive
- Perception Neuron 
- Leap Motion 
- Microsoft Kinect

We encourage those with VR devices to try the meeting in VR!  For those without VR devices, you can still join via the desktop client.

To join the meeting in AltSpaceVR, visit this URL:  https://account.altvr.com/events/384801623882334798  

You should be prompted to download the AltSpaceVR client, and automatically joined to the room once you have created your account.  

If you have trouble finding the room in AltSpaceVR, follow these steps:

1.  Click the Triangle menu button

2.  Choose the "Web" menu at the top

3.  Paste the URL from above into the field and hit enter

4.  Click "Visit Now" button

We also have a backup communication method, in the event of technical difficulties, Ben has also scheduled a Bluejeans room:
