Hi all,

Per the discussion in the Metaverse Working Group meeting today, please feel free to explore the UCSIM OpenSimulator Grid.  For more information about the OpenSimulator platform, see:  http://opensimulator.org

Here is the information you'll need to get connected to the UCSIM Grid:

1.  Create an account at:  http://ucsim.uc.edu:8002/wifi/user/account/

2.  Download and install the Singularity Viewer:  http://www.singularityviewer.org/

3.  Enter the UC Grid information to configure the viewer:

- Click the “Grid Manager” button at the bottom of the screen

- Click the “Create” button to add a new grid

- In the Login URI field, enter: http://ucsim.uc.edu:8002

- Click the “OK” button

4.  Choose the University of Cincinnati Grid in the pull down menu, then login with the username and password you created. (Your username is the first and last name you selected when you created your account, for example “Bob Bearcat” with a space in the middle.)

Upon logging in, you should see your avatar standing in the Start Location area of the UC Opensim Virtual Campus. Navigate your avatar using the arrow keys on your keyboard, or the letters W,A,S,D,E,C.
