Good morning all,

Welcome to the Metaverse Working Group! You are receiving this message
because you either requested to be added to this group online, or stopped by
our booth at the Technology Exchange in Indianapolis and signed up there.
This new working group within the Internet2 community is dedicated to the
creation of standards-based, interlinked distributed virtual environments.

We will be having our first meeting in person at 12:15PM today at the
Technology Exchange in room 202. No remote participation is available for
this but don’t worry, subsequent meetings will be hosted online (probably via
video and audio conferencing until the VR collaboration space gets a bit more
accessible). But those of you who are still in Indianapolis, I hope to see
you there!

I’m greatly looking forward to the activities of this group - please feel
free to use this list for open discussion on the topic at hand.
