Chennai Storytelling Festival 2016 is coming 
soon! (Chennai is on India's southeast coast.)

Especially for those who might not be 
able to attend CSF 2016 physically -- 

You are invited to Register to participate 
in the Festival's global videoconference-
webcast for discussion about, training in, 
and performance of, storytelling -- with
Festival Guest Co-host Ruth Stotter,
www.storytellinginstitute.org/RuthStotter.html ,
and others.

Day and Time: Tues 9 Feb, at 8pm onward 
(India time).

Admission: Free.

This Festival -- our 4th annual edition -- 
is scheduled for ten days, Fri 5 to Sun 14 Feb.

The final 3 days of the Festival would occur 
at Dr MGR-Janaki College (in RA Puram). 
On each of these days, there would be a 
morning Workshop, and an afternoon 
Workshop.

3 days.  

The fees could be given on the spot.

10am-12:30pm, Workshop in "Beginning 
Storytelling". (In groups of 20.)

12:30pm-1:30, Lunch.

1:30pm-4pm, Workshops in Specialised 
Storytelling Topics. (In groups of 20.)

Writing One's Life Story (including regarding 
Re-Inventing One's Self and Life)".  
(All participants in a single group, with 
occasional work as individuals, in pairs, 
and in small groups.)

The Admission fees are:

Sat 12 Feb (for College Students): Free 
(Rs 50 Registration fee).

Sat 13 Feb (for Adults): A total of Rs 500 
(for the morning and afternoon sessions).

Sun 14 Feb (for Adults): A total of Rs 500 
(for the morning and afternoon sessions).

Also at Dr MGR-Janaki College --
On all 3 of these days, there would be 
performances by professional Storytellers 
from Chennai, elsewhere in India, and abroad.   
(7 Storytellers per program.)  For people of 
all ages.

Timing: 4:30pm-6:30pm.

Admission fee: Rs 200 per person, per evening.

Various types of stories would be told, including
Grandmother stories, Personal-experience stories,
and Original creative stories.

The themes of Chennai Storytelling Festival 
2016 are, 

1) The Big Rain of Nov/Dec 2015.

2) Storytelling for Communication
between cultures, between people, and
within people. Including topics such as --
Travel. Tourism. Translation. "Journey" 
and "Path" as metaphors for life. Visiting 
other lands and worlds. Discovery and 
Exploration of the other, and of the self.

These themes might emerge in the stories 
told on these 3 evenings.

Storytelling for Healing,

Storytelling for Teaching and Training,

These 2 themes might also carry over 
into CSF 2016.

Special surprise storytelling, and storytelling-
related, events!
