The Penn Museum Presents India: Past & Present Learn about the incredible diversity of the country of India, including the physical geography of India, and all about India’s individual states. In India, each state has its own style of clothing, language, cuisine and folk traditions, including many different kinds of dancing. Traveling between one Indian state and another is like travelling from one country to another. Students will get to see diverse fashions and folk dances, and will learn all about the variety of cultural and religious festivals that the people of India celebrate. Students will learn how wear a sari and about the celebrations of Diwali.
