Being on the founding development team of the platinum sponsor bluejeans and now the founder of the other platinum sponsor Spranto I certainly invite everyone to participate and make Megaconference a great success.

 

If anyone is having difficulty connecting to Megaconference using the free Spranto client don’t hesitate to email and myself, Peter Hayes or one of other staff are willing to help.

 

Spranto is a fully compliant H.323v7 service for iOS and PC (other OS are in the works)  that supports the latest direct media (NAT) technology  (H.460.17/.18/.19/.23/.24) so will reach any H.323 MCU participating in Megaconference.

 

Just a few troubleshooting notes:

If you are connecting via the iphone/ipad app

1.       you should update to iOS6.

2.       While the app does run on the iphone4 and ipod touch 4 we do recommend you connect via iphone 4S, iPad 2 or iPod touch 5 minimum.

3.       For IPad4  (Retina display) turn on HD in the settings for 720p resolution.

 

If you are connecting via PC.

1.       Recommend Camera that supports HD  (get 1080p with PTZ with the Logitech BCC950)

2.       Recommend Headphones or echo cancelling speakerphone. (for everyone’s sanity)

3.       Older PCs do not support HD. Recommend an i3,i5,i7 processor. Runs on XP, Vista , Win7 and Win 8.

4.       If you are on ADSL connection select file >  video quality > 720p receive

5.       If you are on a good 3+ Mb/s connection select file > video quality > 1080p full (really only recommended for latest i5,i7 processors)

 

You can call out by calling spranto username, phone number (nrenum supported), URI  or just IP and it supports both the room@ip and ip##room syntax.

 

You can call in by calling  <username>@spranto.net (23.23.152.202) or 23.23.152.202## <phone number> in your H.323 device.

 

Works from private networks without any firewall configuration but some corporate networks do block outbound ports so contact us for instructions.

 

You can test call with your existing endpoints/MCU or with bluejeans by typing  bjn.vc J
