An official release would imply support and that code is unsupported. The
implication of "unsupported" is that issues like this are the responsibility
of people continuing to use the code.

Anybody you're telling to use this code should either be supporting it
themselves or relying on you. It's basically your project at this point if
you make the decision to keep using it. Just repackage the classes in your
own package domain as needed and stamp it with whatever name and version you
want.

What you should NOT do is prepare a new jar named opensaml with those
package names.
