There was a documentation error in the README.txt to that effect. Did you see mentioned elsewhere that OpenSAML 2 was considered stable yet? Wiki, etc? If so, plese provide locations, links, and we will update.
OpenSAML 2.0 was released in mid-March 2008 and is fully supported and considered stable for production use. Sorry for the confusion.
