We do actually have src zip and tar.gz files, they're just accessible from that main downloads directory for some reason.  However, you can dig down into the Maven repository and they are all there:

http://shibboleth.internet2.edu/downloads/maven2/org/opensaml/


A note on the Subversion repositories: based on some relatively recent project decisions, active work is being done not on the trunk, but on a branch which corresponds to the current major release.  So if you want the "latest" code, be sure to check out the right branch for each project as follows:

java-xmltooling:   REL_1
java-openws:        REL_1
java-opensaml2:   REL_2

I did see the http://shibboleth.internet2.edu/downloads/opensaml/java/2.1.0/opensaml-2.1.0-src.zip (sorry I meant ZIP, not JAR in my question) and thought there was something similar for xmltooling and openws. The SVN checkout is perfectly ok as well, though not in-sync with the released jars. Just a matter of rebuilding ;-)

We don't have JAR files with source code per se.  We do have ZIP and tar.gz files with the source here:

If you just want access to the source, you  can checkout via SVN:
