OpenSAML user discussion

I am new to SAML and trying to figure out the steps to verify the SAML assertion. I have few very basic queries listed below. –

 

1) What functions/classes to be used to validate a SAML response document using BROWSER POST PROFILE? If I can get the code snippet, that will be very helpful to us. I am verifying SAML assertion using Signature.

 

2) Any specific configurations needed for OpenSaml API on Apache?

 

I would appreciate if someone can provide me as much details as you can.
