Initially because I didn't need them. Java now has a separate NameIdentifier
class. I doubt I'll ever go back and mess with subject confirmation in 1.x,
but I'd factor it out if I do 2.x.

You're welcome to do the work and sign the I2 contributors agreement. ;-)
