As told by Scott , SAML API is developed on JDK1.4.
We tried using it with jdk1.2
It didnt work out since there are some security classes which SAML API takes
from JDK 1.4 API. 

I didnt check out with JDK1.3.1. Get the source code for SAML API and try to
compile all the classes . You will know if any issues as compilation errors.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for what is probably a stupid question....but can anybody tell me if
OpenSAML 0.9 will run on Java 1.3.1 (not 1.4)? I ask because I am writing a
browser/profile implementation running partially on WAS 5 (which runs on
Java 1.3.1) and am wondering if there will be any issues......I have so far
been using OpenSAML 0.8, which seems to be running OK.
