Greetings colleagues:

Here's a quick note about some international activity in the Middleware space. If you know of other initiatives, collaborations or opportunities you'd like to share, please post it to .

--------------------------------
To foster the use of the Shibboleth-based Testbed Federation within Australian higher education institutions, the Australian Meta Access Management System (MAMS) in conjunction with Australia's Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) is offering mini-grants to Australian institutions.

The Shibboleth® authentication and authorization technology developed out of the Internet2 community and is core to the U.S. based InCommon Federation, which enables cost-effective, privacy-preserving collaboration among InCommon participants by eliminating the need for researchers, students, and educators to maintain multiple, password-protected accounts. http://www.incommonfederation.org/
