Greetings Colleagues,
The following announcement from the American National Institutes of Health (NIH) may be of interest to international partner universities receiving project and collaboration funding through NIH.
-------------------------------------
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), an Internet2 Affiliate member, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) are converting to the electronic SF424 (Research and Related [R&R]) grant application forms. Beginning December 1, 2005, individual research programs will begin requiring electronic submission through Grants.gov, with a complete transition scheduled by 2007. NIH and AHRQ are encouraging applicant organizations to register now with both Grants.gov (http://grants.gov/) and NIH eRA Commons (https://commons.era.nih.gov/commons/), as the registration process can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
More information on these changes is available at http://era.nih.gov/ElectronicReceipt/.
