AegisUSA Becomes InCommon Affiliate

ANN ARBOR, Michigan – April 22, 2010 – AegisUSA, an identity management
solution provider with extensive expertise in higher education, has become an
InCommon Affiliate.

InCommon is the U.S. trust federation in higher education, providing a
privacy-preserving, secure method for higher education institutions and their
partners to offer single sign-on convenience to their faculty, researchers,
students and staff. The Affiliate Program provides the research and education
community with a way to connect with partners able to help build the
necessary underlying infrastructure that supports federated access.

"We are excited to participate as an affiliate member of InCommon,” said
Ralph Armijo, chief executive officer and president of AegisUSA. “AegisUSA's
goals are mutually aligned with InCommon. Our solutions are focused on
enabling membership growth and effective utilization through simplified
access and identity management solutions for new and existing members."

AegisUSA’s solutions include identity appliances, identity assessments, and
custom implementations for Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, and open-source software.
Aegis’s identity appliances solve many of the common identity and access
management problems in higher education, including password management and
single sign-on. Aegis’s Federated Identity Appliance for Education provides
the turnkey, production-ready infrastructure necessary to enable federated
single sign-on with participants in the InCommon Federation.

“The AegisUSA experience in identity management comes at a time of great
growth and interest in federating identity management infrastructure,” said
John Krienke, chief operating officer of InCommon. “Their support can provide
a key partnership link for higher education participants.”
