The 24th NORDUnet Conference will be hosted by CSC in
Espoo (Helsinki), Finland on 9-11 April 2008. www.nordu.net/conference/ With a history dating back to 1980, the NORDUnet
conference is among the oldest contiguous series of conferences on research and
education networking. During these more than 25 years there has been a constant
flow of new technologies and social innovation. The NORDUnet conference has
changed in format and content, and we're ready to evolve the NORDUnet
conference once again as the Research and Education networking goes through
another phase of evolution. The conference slogan "The Biosphere of Grids and
Networks" mirrors the fact that Grids and research and education
networking are interconnected, that the two develop together in many ways, and
that the networking and grid technologies are more and more essential for
science and education. It also reflects the constant development of new
technologies and services, with roots in past progress, approved standards, and
proven design principles. We hope the conference can serve as an open environment
where users, maintainers, developers, researchers, and decision makers can have
fruitful discussion about new results and common challenges, and also share
experiences. See you in Finland Jacqueline Brown Pacific Northwest Gigapop/Pacific Wave for The NORDUnet Conference Programme Committee About NORDUnet NORDUnet is the Nordic Internet highway to
