INTERNET2 TO NETCAST HIGHLIGHTS OF ITS ANNUAL SPRING MEMBER MEETING

Meeting to Address Key Advances in High Performance Networking

Arlington, VA - May 2, 2005 - Internet2 today opened its annual Spring
Member Meeting which brings together more than 700 leaders in research and
education to address key advances in high performance networking and other
leading-edge Internet technologies. Internet2 will netcast live several
select sessions from its member meeting including its first general session
with a keynote address from Dr. Arden Bement Jr., director of the National
Science Foundation and Dr. Douglas Van Houweling, president and CEO of
Internet2.

The member meeting will cover topics such as scalable next-generation
network infrastructures, advancements and adoption of middleware
capabilities, security on high-performance networks, as well as
presentations on advanced applications, and technical progress in the K-20
community. With attendees representing over 300 Internet2 member
institutions and partners, Internet2's 2005 Spring Meeting is among the
largest in the organization's history and will take place from May 2-4, 2004
in Arlington, VA.
