INTERNET2 VIRTUAL BRIEFING TO EXAMINE COLLABORATION IN K20 SCIENCE AND MUSIC EDUCATION

The Internet2(R) Virtual Briefing, "Adventure and All That Jazz: The JASON Virtual Argonauts Project, Live Jazz, K20, and Internet2," provides an inside look at two Internet2 K20 projects: the JASON Virtual Argonauts Project and the K-12 University Musical Collaboration.

WHAT: The JASON Virtual Argonauts Project gives students from across the United States the opportunity to explore the biological and geological development of the earth with leading scientists.  The project is led by Internet2 Sponsored Education Group Participants (SEGP) from California, Indiana and Rhode Island.  (http://oshean.org/oshean/JasonVirtualArgonauts/ or http://k20.internet2.edu/view_project.php?id=97&submit=Full+Project)

The K-12 University Musical Collaboration encourages interaction and collaboration between university music departments and high school bands.  Internet2 networks enable live concerts involving high school and university musicians via the Internet.  (http://k20.internet2.edu/view_project.php?id=24&submit=Full+Project)

WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT
