North American Global IPv6 Summit Registration Deadline June 15, 2003

Internet2 is a sponsor of the IPv6 Global Summit to be held June 25 –
27, 2003 in San Diego, California, with an optional tutorial being held 
on the 24th. Rick Summerhill, Associate Director of Backbone Network 
Infrastructure, will present on the challenges and successes of IPv6 
deployment across Internet2 backbone, gigaPoP, and campus network 
infrastructures.

The Global IPv6 Summit is a premier event for the global IPv6 community,
providing an international forum for advancing the development and
implementation of new generation Internet networks, technologies,
applications and policies.

The summit features keynote presentations by John L. Osterholz, Director
of Architecture and Interoperability for the U.S. Department of
Defense, and Mr. Jawad Khaki, Vice President, Windows Networking for 
Microsoft. The summit also offers great opportunities for developing new 
partnerships.

Before June 15, 2003, registration for students is only $79, and the 
cost to faculty or staff affiliated with any academic institution is 
only $99.

This Summit complements a wide variety of work underway by the
Internet2 community, which has been a leader in deploying IPv6 in the
United States.
