I just tried to login on the Grouper demo site and it failed because 
that SP is not part of eduGain.

You can check on <https://technical.edugain.org/entities>.

That's weird because the Grouper demo SP's discovery service seams to be 
based on eduGain metadata, but it is not part of eduGain.
