We had lots of problems with PIT because of some records that got corrupted. I spent several weeks digging through the DB manually to figure out what the problem was (I eventually had to recreate a handful of groups and then run the PIT utils).

I'd recommend running the new edu.internet2.middleware.grouper.misc.SyncPITTables().syncAllPITTables() as detailed here from the grjouper shell: https://spaces.at.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Point+in+Time+Auditing.

(you'll want to turn off the daemon first).

What version / patch level are you on?  Might want to get to latest 2.4 or 2.5 if not on it.  If you want to skip this record adjust the grouper_change_log_consumer record for the process.  Unless Jeff Williams has a better idea 😊

We are getting errors for a group that was deleted.

There is this row in GROUPER_PIT_GROUPS:
