Yeah you’ll probably need to go up. a65 corresponded with u38. The fix is in u44.
Thanks!

Shilen,
Production is running on 2.4 patch a65 for a while now. I see that I have the checkbox to keep or remove the alternate ID when I do a group move (though I see I cannot rename a group that way). However, if I attempt to edit the group (to change the name and the group ID), I don’t have a checkbox, even in the advanced properties. It lets me rename the name and ID, but then when I expand the details I see the alternate ID is set to the old group name.
I have version a86 queued up in test. I’ll see if the behavior changes there?
Thanks, Erik

Hi Erik,
What version/patch are you on? I think an option was added in 2.4 UI patch 44. When you do a rename, as of that patch, it should ask if you want to set the alternate name.

Hello,
Perhaps I’m missing something, but maybe someone has run into this: when I move a group, it seems I have the option to keep the old name as the alternate group ID, or just leave it off. Good!
When I copy a group, then I want to rename that group, I am forced to have an alternate ID of the old group name. How can I turn that off? Should I just do a move in the same folder?
Thanks,
