Hi Chad,

This was it exactly, I reverted to Java 1.8 and was able to complete the installation.

Many thanks! -- pete

Are you on Java 11 by chance? We're working on that for 2.5, but not there
yet. You can add these jars manually which are no longer in the Java 11
distribution:

javax.xml.bind:jaxb-api:2.3.1
com.sun.xml.bind:jaxb-impl:2.3.2
com.sun.xml.bind:jaxb-core:2.3.0.1

For gsh to work, you may need to replace groovy-all-2.5.0-beta-2.jar with
some or all of the groovy-* jars that are now split up into smaller
components instead of one big jar file. We haven't identified which of them
are necessary yet. Testing so far also indicates upgrading to
javassist:3.24.1-GA.jar.

'database:grouper'

Hello all,

My google-fu hasn't yet proven fruitful, so here goes.

I'm trying to install 2.4 current (all patches), on a CentOS VM in our
dev environment, but the process fails.

My previous installation in a proof of concept environment (Ubuntu VM on
VirtualBox) went fine.

The grouper config table in both instances is empty, and the 'sa' user
has ownership and privs on the PostgreSQL database used for Grouper as
well as all of the tables & views.
