HI,
slightly off topic for this list, but using groups is the starting point. A group here at Brown is already using Grouper to control physical access to the rooms with their equipment (we push their groups into CCure, the local door control system). They love Grouper, and would like to use it control use of their 3D printers.
They're looking for software that could queue/spool "print job" submissions, and only allow group members to submit jobs. They're currently using Repetier software on a Mac; they've also looked at Octoprint. They say both systems seem targeted at home users, and neither supports the concept of groups.
3D printing is now mainstream -- does anyone have a similar situation on their campus, and has found a print management solution that supports groups ?
thanks very much !
