If I were you, I would consider deleting where the logged_in_member_id is null, and maybe when the created_on is older than some value (google millis or micros since 1970, there are converters).  This should get a lot of the records cleared.  But no, it will not affect the system.

 

Patch #97 in 2.3 will keep that table trimmed depending on how you configure it.

I am currently upgrading a 1.5.2 installation to 2.3

I noticed the grouper_audit_entry.sql file is big - 1.3G

 

What will be the effect of emptying this table ?

Will I only lose the audit track or will it also effect the system in other ways ?
