Hello,

I apologize if this email goes out twice. K-State has 2 email domains, and I
sent from the unsubscribed email domain earlier today.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I've spent a day on it, and didn't
find the solution. I'm looking for some help. So to bring everyone up to
speed, this is what I'm currently testing out.

I'm testing out the getPermissionAssignmentsWs call using the
grouperClient.jar.

In our test environment, I replicated the groups/roles/permissions described
at https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Grouper+permissions+example

I invoked the webservice by running "java -jar grouperClient.jar
--operation=getPermissionAssignmentsWs --permissionType=role
--roleNames=test:app0:roles:role0"

and my output was:

<WsGetPermissionAssignmentsResults>
<wsAttributeDefs/>
<resultMetadata>
<resultCode>SUCCESS</resultCode>
<resultMessage>, Found 0 results. </resultMessage>
<success>T</success>
</resultMetadata>
<responseMetadata>
<resultWarnings></resultWarnings>
<millis>161</millis>
<serverVersion>2.3.0</serverVersion>
</responseMetadata>
<wsGroups>
<WsGroup>
<extension>role0</extension>
<typeOfGroup>role</typeOfGroup>
<displayExtension>role0</displayExtension>
<displayName>test:app0:roles:role0</displayName>
<name>test:app0:roles:role0</name>
<uuid>ddd437e688db49b4952df6877c425e96</uuid>
</WsGroup>
</wsGroups>
<wsSubjects/>
</WsGetPermissionAssignmentsResults>

which is significantly different that what was posted as the output on that
page.

I suspect its related to permissions added on attributes on the 2.2 release.
I've tried setting on the permissions ATTR_READ to true on the user I'm using
for authentication, but I'm getting the same result.

What am I missing? Or does this webservice no longer function the way it used
to?

Thanks in advance,

David Malia
