Thanks for your help.

 

After we ran the patch using grouperInstaller, we saw a whole bunch of *.class and *.java under grouper.apiBinary/conf/ such as grouper.apiBinary/conf/edu/internet2/middleware/grouper/pspng/FullSyncProvisioner$1.class. Are these to be expected?

You don’t need to install via installer to be able to patch with the installer.  Patch it up with the installer!  J

 

Btw, all the installer does is run the manual steps you probably did by unzipping and building…  no hidden magic there…

Ps. you cant compile latest source since the patches don’t correlate to the source in the branch in github…

Hi grouper users,

 

We are currently exploring Grouper and recently decided to move to version 2.3.0. We are trying to configure the new PSPNG but it seems that some patches might be required.

 

We did not use GrouperInstaller to install Grouper API as we decided to separate the UI/WS from API. We simply download grouper.apiBinary and configure it manually.

 

How can we patch the apiBinary and/or PSPNG if we did not use GrouperInstaller? Is there a latest apiBinary and/or PSPNG package that we can download which includes all the patches? The other option I can see is to compile the latest source. Would you recommend this method?
